Gigli's was founded in 1987 as a high street butcher's shop in the heart of the Fylde Coast by David Gigli. After trading in small premises in the heart of Lytham, St Anne's for 20 years, he moved to larger premises in 2009 to focus more on the production of our famous, homemade, gourmet pies.
The larger premises meant he could focus more on providing more artisan products in every aspect of the business. Trade increased and a couple of years after moving, he refitted the shop to the way it is today.
Since then David's two sons, Harry & myself, Joe, have joined the business and as a team we continue to provide the same level of service and quality produce to what the business was built on.
In 2019, the shop has been extended to include a Bistro, serving breakfast and lunch as well as opening once a month for themed evenings.
More recently David became president of National Craft Butchers, an organisation that brings butcher's together to share ideas and promotes the craft for generation to come.
In 2023, after success in The Golden Cleaver Awards and The NCB Awards, and increased investment in sustainability and marketing we were awarded 'The Best Butcher's Shop in Britain' at the Meat Management Industry Awards.
